The Dutch sunshine is out to welcome the MotoGP to Assen‏

On Wednesday morning the paddock began to fill and the Assen circuit was treated to glorious sunshine.

The seventh MotoGP round of the 2009 World Championship season is at the historic Assen circuit, combatants enjoyed fantastic weather as final preparations were made on Wednesday.

After Barcelona, in which a massive crowd was treated to Valentino Rossi’s incredible last corner victory over his Fiat Yamaha colleague Jorge Lorenzo, which in turn put the pair level on points at the head of the standings with Ducati Marlboro’s Casey Stoner, all this lead to even more exciting racing and another expected huge attendance figures this weekend.

As the free practice commences on Thursday afternoon for competitors, the 125cc at 12.40pm, MotoGP at 1.55pm and 250cc at 3.10pm, with the prosepct of nice conditions predicted by the weathermen.

It has been noted that on Friday that there is a chance of rain at Assen, with further showers and perhaps some storms for Saturday’s races.

This promises to add to the intrigue and excitement ahead of the Assen ciruit MotoGP race this weekend.
