Simoncelli keeps chances alive

Marco Simoncelli has reserved his title challenges with a win placing in the 250cc Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.  This will be his second triumph of his World Championship attack.

Similarly in 2008, he broke free of charge from the group early on. However, he did have Álex Debón along for the competition. Simoncelli was unable to shake the Spaniard even with his best attempts, but he had just enough ample breathing room to stop any overtaking moves.

Debón reserved his second place, whilst behind him an ongoing fight occurred for the final stage spot. Álvaro Bautista took the sprawling group up to his team mates on the final round, but was unable to correct a move on Debón, even though he put in a circuit record lap. He did, however, get beyond competitor and series leader Hiroshi Aoyama, to reduce the gap to ten points.
