MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo may confirm on his career at next week’s Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, if not
earlier, whether an announcement has been offered from Ducati and a renewing contract from Yamaha has been set out.
Marcos Hirsch, his manager comments on Lorenzo and the advice on 2 options that they are now considering, a forward jump
onto Honda engines has already been ruled out.
Hirsch says, “Until the middle of this week we were still
ticking off the boxes and finalising the offers. We are getting close to concluding our evaluation of the pros and cons of
the offers and we acknowledge that now is the right moment to make a decision.”
Hirsch also commented that
an announcement may arrive next weekend at Indy, with the confirmation said by the relevant squad. The competitor's boss
also adds that sporting decisions would be the key, explaining, “money is important but it is at the bottom of our list
of priorities.”
